Simple corner bar with a terrace, at a corner of the Cathedral square. Opened at the beginning of 2014 to promote craft beers, be they cask, keg or bottled, local, national, or international. Up to three hand pulls and several keg lines, plus up to eighty bottles.

Micropub that opened in 2012. The original large glass windows have been etched with local brewery motifs. There are four casks of real ale on racking behind the compact wooden bar area, plus four real ciders, all from the South-West.
The Pig and Pickle is an independent free house and micropub serving a range of mostly local beers on keg and cask. There are three handpumps, one of which serves traditional cider, two serve real ale. All three are constantly changing.
Stannary Brewing Taproom

Brewery tap for the Stannary Brewing Company, which opened in 2016 and moved to larger premises next door in spring 2018. It opens on Friday and Saturday evenings and special occasions, notified by social media. A core range of five keg beers are available along with seasonal and one off brews, a selection of which are also bottled. Wine, cider and other drinks are also available.
Micropub that opened in October 2016. The decor is industrial and the furniture is basic wooden tables and benches. There is a good beer garden upstairs and out at the back of the building where you can sit and watch the trains going in and out of Newton Abbot railway station. Bottled beers are still sold with craft and real ales.
